Given that this was the first time we had participated in the FLL, we were very happy to gain the following rankings (all positions out of 52):
Overall:	27th
Teamwork:	4th
Research project:	20th
Robot performance:	27th in qualifying rounds
Robot design:	47th
Programming:	37th

Each team had its own pit area. Some of the teams decorated them in a very elaborate fashion. The INTER CONTI KIDS from Turkey (below, left) had an octopus game.

The pit hall also included practice tables, which were very busy throughout the weekend.

Other teams, such as the LEBO band from South Korea, regularly entertained us.

Other activities were provided alongside the competition. You could make hair gel or slime, build a volcano, and play with Lego and Mindstorms.

These Lego bricks were projected onto the floor. As you walked (or ran) over them, they scattered away from your feet.
