nanomag is a magazine built using nanotechnology.
We decided to research a new application for electronic paper.
We are concerned about the impact of newspapers on the environment
(paper waste and production). So we researched the technologies
to make an electronic newspaper.
- Power (nanorod solar cell & battery)
- Security (fingerprints)
- Antenna (bacterium-sized, receives material)
- Subscription & Transmission
(satellites transmit news and other information)
- Touch Screen
(self-assembly)
- Electronic Paper (carbon nanotubes)
- Circuitry (sandwiched & flexible)
Nanomags will also help to widen access to information for
people in developing countries.
